Does Wellness Pharmacy perform testing on its products?

Wellness Pharmacy® has a state-of-the art IV laboratory that is USP 797 compliant. The IV Lab includes: class 100 laminar hoods in certified clean rooms and complete end-product testing on all compounded injectables.
Wellness Pharmacy analyzes each compounded medication supplied to a patient or physician to verify the amount of active ingredient, sterility and potency, to assist the doctor’s recommendation. We can provide Certificates of analysis and MSDS sheets to confirm all information.

What dosage forms can Wellness Pharmacy formulate?

Wellness Pharmacy® can prepare different compounds with specialized delivery mechanisms such as topical creams (in an emollient cream base), topical PLO (pluronic base), topical liquid drops, liquid suspensions, oral capsules, vaginal suppositories, vaginal creams, injections, nebulized medications, troches (dissolved under the tongue), and oral powders.

Does Wellness Pharmacy accept prescription insurance?

Wellness Pharmacy® is unable to transmit insurance claims online directly to an insurance company since we are not contracted with any insurance companies. Our customers should be able to file a claim with their insurance company for a compounded prescription they have filled with Wellness. We would recommend that a customer check with their insurance company to find out what their insurance contract allows/requires for submitting a claim for a compounded medication. If requested we will supply a Universal Claim Form for a Compounded Medication with an order for use in applying for reimbursement.
