Who can prescribe compounded medications?
Any licensed Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can prescribe compounded medications.
Can patients request information on compounded medications/products for their doctors?
Patients are welcome to request information on compounding and various compounds from their physician, however some doctors may not have information readily available to put in the hands of the patient.In this case, we encourage patients to contact us to receive the information that they or their doctors need.
How can I receive information on natural hormone replacement or glutathione?

How can I find out if the supplements I am taking interact with my prescription medications?
Wellness has the most up-to-date data available, which we use to research contradictions between medications.If you are unsure of taking a supplement from Wellness Pharmacy® because of the different interactions that may occur between that supplement and your current medications, call one of our pharmacists.
How can I find prices for certain prescriptions and/or other Wellness products?

Does Wellness accept medical insurance?
Wellness Pharmacy® is unable to transmit insurance claims online directly to an insurance company since we are not contracted with any insurance companies. Our customers should be able to file a claim with their insurance company for a compounded prescription they have filled with Wellness. We would recommend that a customer check with their insurance company to find out what their insurance contract allows/requires for submitting a claim for a compounded medication. If requested we will supply a Universal Claim Form for a Compounded Medication with an order for use in applying for reimbursement.
What is the procedure for applying for reimbursement from my medical insurance company?
Every insurance company is different and requires various types of information for reimbursement claims.We advise patients to contact their insurance company, and inquire about their specific reimbursement process(es). We can also provide patients with Universal Compounding claim forms to submit to their insurance companies in order for them to find out if they are eligible for reimbursement.
Note: Certain prescription coverage plans provide different stipulations for compounded medications.
