This product provides lactobacillus acidophilus, a probiotic species that supports gastrointestinal and genitourinary tract function by colonizing the intestinal mucosa and the lining of the vagina, cervix, and urethra where it produces lactic and other organic acids inhibiting the adherence and multiplication of pathogenic microbes including E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella, Candida albicans, and other pathogens.
