Rodney Harbin, Sr.
CEO
Rodney Harbin Sr., CEO of Wellness Pharmacy, has dedicated most of his life to the “Wellness Family.” Rodney Sr. planned to be an Air Force Officer, but once the Vietnam war ended, and he needed a job. His father, Bob Harbin, brought him into the family business where he helped run the cashier and clean shelves. Rodney Sr. has been a part of Wellness Pharmacy ever since. Originally called “Bob’s Discount Drugs” in 1964, the business changed and adapted to an increased demand for compounded meds. From this need to serve patients, the business became “Wellness Pharmacy” in 1984.
For five decades, Rodney Sr. has watched the positive impact Wellness Pharmacy have on the community around him. “It’s gratifying to serve multiple generations of patients and their families, including several who were patients as children become parents and bring their children when needed.” But Wellness Pharmacy is not just a symbolic family for Rodney Sr. Three generations of his family (his father, himself, and his two sons Rod Jr. and Mat) have proudly worked in the family business.
Rodney Sr. has been a part of Wellness Pharmacy for six decades. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Auburn University and attended Samford University. Rodney Sr. is a proud husband and father of three – Rod Jr., Mat and Kelly. When he’s not indoors helping his community at Wellness, he’s outdoors with friends and family hunting, shooting, or big game fishing. In addition to his Earth-bound activities, he’s been a pilot for 53+ years with no accidents, waivers or infractions from the FAA!
